PerScribe (as well as PerScript and Persian AutoCorrect) includes an extremely useful optional module for composing web pages in Persian. With a single click you can convert your Word text to an HTML file in UTF-8 (Unicode) encoding with a sentence-by-sentence, letter-by-letter, phonetic transliteration. This enables you to identify your exact position so that you can perform simple editing directly on the HTML source code itself. A typical line in the HTML would look like this:
<!-- bn.i ad.m @`.Z.a ye yk.d.i.g.r.n.d -->
بÙÛ Ø¢Ø¯Ù
Ø§Ø¹Ø¶Ø§Û ÙÙدÙگرÙد
(The dots are added simply to help you see each word as a unit: each Persian letter is encoded as two bytes or characters.) Since the transliteration is enclosed in <!-- comment tags --> it remains "invisible" to web browsers, which will simply display the Persian text: [This line, slightly misquoted as اعضای يك پيكرند, was included in the Voyager spacecraft's Interstellar Outreach
Program as a recorded greeting to any Persian-speaking inhabitants of outer space, beginning with the impressive words " ... درود بر ساكنين ماوراء آسمانها ". A Transliteration Key is included for handy reference at the top of the source code so that you can copy and paste individual (encoded) Persian letters into your text. (If you need to edit a lot of source code it may be more convenient to remap your keyboard for Unicode input.) Next: ►Downloads
