PerScribe allows you to type almost completely phonetically. The most important features of this approach are:
- elimination of "dummy" Alef in words like in اين and oftad افتاد (these words are typed in and oftad, not ain and aftad as they would be on a normal Persian keyboard).
- no special spelling for Alef Maddeh
- contextual interpretation of O and E: oftad افتاد and do دو are typed oftad and do. The same phonetic approach applies to ersal ارسال and resale رساله , typed ersal and resale. The software determines the correct Persian spelling in each case.
- phonetic spelling of -eh endings: xaneخانه can be typed either xane or xanh–the choice is yours.
