PerScript or PerScribe?

Only if you can read the Persian text written above will your system be able to use our Persian-language software, which is based on Unicode.

The choice of the most suitable software product will depend on both of the following:
  • your operating system
  • the sort of word-processing you want to do

Our recommendation
In most cases
—and certainly if you are using Windows 2000 or XP—you should choose PerScript (it has the same functions as PerScribe, and is simpler to use).

Choose PerScribe only if you are using Windows 95/98/Me and want to produce Word documents in Persian/Farsi. For writing webpages choose PerScript.

This table will help you to choose the appropriate software:

System Application PerScribe PerScript
Windows 95/98/Me Word .doc files Yes No
for the Web Possible (but complicated) Yes
Windows 2000/XP
(use Windows Farsi language support)
Word .doc files No Yes (paste text into Word)
for the Web No Yes
